Writing & Editing
A new section where I will occasionally post some really quite boring articles about the technical side of writing and editing - style guides I myself use governing the use of language. There’s no right or wrong with many of these things, of course, though I can at least offer consistency, and you’re welcome to use such standards as these pieces prescribe. I will at least endeavour to explain my reasoning in each case, since while there may be no objective right or wrong way of, say, abbreviating months of the year, there are practical considerations that make one approach more useful. Articles will appear here periodically, hopefully with a condensed style guide to follow at some point.
